Alano 2021: Recovery Comes First

Give today—because recovery matters.

The Alano Club of Portland's mission is to provide a vibrant, inclusive and trauma-informed recovery support center—open 365 days a year—that offers a diverse array of free and accessible resources, supports and evidence-based services to anyone in or seeking recovery from substance use and mental health disorders, all made possible because of supporters like you.

Your care and generosity will help give someone the chance to find the recovery pathway that best fits them, and help us to support them on their journey. When you donate to the Alano Club, you not only change lives—you save them.

All donations made are charitable contributions. Please give as generously as you can to support the Alano Club of Portland.

If you have any questions, please contact Kasey Anderson at kasey@portlandalano.org.

About the Organization:

The Alano Club of Portland has been a leading source of recovery support in the community for 60 years and counting.

Every year, the Alano Club of Portland has stood proudly as a beacon of healing, hope and solutions for Oregon's recovery community. The Alano Club also served as an incubator and fiscal sponsor for new, vital youth-oriented programs in Oregon, including Harmony Academy, Oregon's first recovery high school, and ACT NW, the first adolescent treatment and recovery center of its kind in the state.

As the only recovery support center of its kind in Oregon, we offer compassionate, trauma-informed supports and services—all free of charge—to over 10,000 people per month. Lives are being saved on a daily basis at the Club, and the generous hearts of caring members across our community help make it all possible.

Our programming has received national recognition and awards for innovation, and includes partnerships with support groups like Ben's Friends and social justice organizations like All Rise, which serve not just the recovery community, but the greater community in Oregon.

Alano Club programming and fiscal sponsorships include:

In response to the new and ever-changing needs created during COVID-19 crisis, The Alano Club of Portland led a nationwide initiative to bring digital recovery supports and services to the broader recovery community, and to deliver programming and resources to the communities most severely impacted by the pandemic and addiction. It's often been said that the opposite of addiction is connection. To date, we are proud to have created more than 221,000 individual connections from all 50 states during our COVID digital support initiative. This is a time where innovation is the only way to find solutions, and the Alano Club of Portland has consistently been recognized as a national leader and trailblazer in developing accessible and inclusive innovations for the recovery community.
