This course is based on the practices and principles of mindfulness and acceptance-based interventions such as Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Through the meditation practices taught in this course, we will develop inner sight (insight) into the automatic tendencies, habits, and beliefs that keep us stuck in the relapse cycle. By pulling wisdom from our direct and present moment experience, we can begin to recognize our personal warning signs and respond to our internal and external triggers in more wholesome ways. Additionally, we will explore how the principles of mindfulness, acceptance, and compassion can support our recovery process and help us live more in line with our values.
This is a recovery support group grounded in the practice of mindfulness. Individuals from all recovery pathways are welcome.
